We are currently seeking a Sr. Tax Specialist for a 6 month contract assignment with our client in New Orleans. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance or Accounting. In addition, the candidate must have at least 3+ years experience within tax. RESPONSIBILITIES:* Perform an assessment of the client's IRS non-payroll back-up withholding process from start to finish.* Process map (visio flowchart) and written process documentation with significant detail of the process works, showing for each legal entity performing NpIRR (should be CONA and COBUSANA mostly, but also others for vendor payments that Global Finance does) * Document the process for determining an account which needs to be in back up withholding status; how withholding is applied, what systems are used to do the withholding, etc.* Track all reconcilements around NpIRR withholding and transmissions (G/L Account #'s, frequency of reconcilement, person responsible, etc.) * Identify all persons performing tasks (name, department or business area, level, management, etc.) and same for person providing sign off or validation CORE PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE:* Corporate Tax Framework * Federal and State Tax Requirements REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience required* 4+ years of full-time experience in corporate tax or public accounting* CPA preferredIf you meet the qualifications for this position and would like to be considered for this role, please email your resume to premjan@kellyservices.com or apply online.
