This position supports the Ares program at the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA. Will perform composite lay-up, bonding, foam application fabrication and assembly tasks. Prepare test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Work on complex components and systems using established drawings and requirements. Interpret high level requirements to develop methods and work sequences to meet objectives. Possess extensive, specialized knowledge of polymers and composite materials (e.g., carbon, fiberglass, adhesives)

Working knowledge of material processing for adhesive materials, polymers and composites (e.g., oven curing, autoclave curing, lay-up, co-curing, repair), sealants and finishes processing (e.g., epoxy, painting, surface preparation, faying surface sealing, fillet sealing). Possess extensive, specialized knowledge of the use of general and precision tools. Possess the ability to instruct others in the use of general and precision measuring devices and associated calibration requirements. Possess extensive, specialized knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements). Also perform operational checkout and assembly of spacecraft systems and associated support and checkout equipment to include developing and instituting new procedures or methods and being responsible for correctness, acceptability and documentation of work.

Must be able to comprehend complex technical specifications, drawings, schematics, manuals, and engineering instruction to accomplish work assignments. Maintain Company and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) records and inspection forms requiring suitable proficiency in all types of information systems to perform assigned tasks including, but not limited to, Company web based systems and Microsoft Office products. Obtain and maintain necessary technical skills certifications as required for assigned work.

JOB SUMMARY OR PURPOSE:
To transport or deliver freight by driving tractor trailer combinations short distances and/ or long distances.
 
JOB DUTIES:

Hook and unhook trailers from the tractor itself or from convertor dollies, including pushing and/ or pulling dollies into place and cranking lever to raise and lower landing gear on semi trailers and/ or the front support on convertor dollies. 
Load and unload trailer with mechanical freight handling equipment as required.
Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips and submit report on the condition of the truck at the end of each trip.
 Check shipping papers to determine the nature of load and to check for the presence of hazardous materials.
Ensure that all shipment documentation required to move with shipment is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment when delivered.
Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
Report all accidents and/ or incidents involving driver or company equipment

Summary:
Responsible for managing engineers and designerswith large projects for the development of project specifications, calculations, design basis documents, system studies and construction drawings. Engineering manager with power experience including coal fired power plants, FGD, SCR.Multi-discipline coordination. Perform other duties as required. E&I: Provides direction and leadership within the project environment to groups of technical personnel. Ensures that project schedules and budgets are achieved as well as the technical accuracy ofwork product. Coordinates with other leaders within the project organization to ensure that multi discipline interfaces are properly addressed. Ensures that work is executed in accordance with approved work processes using standard tools wich have been adopted by the Company. Provides status reports.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising a group of engineers and designers for the development of mechanical equipment specifications, calculations, and design basis documents, equipment and fluid system design, and the development of P&IDs for a flue gas desulphurization (FGD) project. Work includes managing budget and schedule as well as technical excellence of the Project. The candidate will work with a team of engineers to develop proposal write ups, proposal budgets, and proposal estimates. Demonstrates good knowledge of project engineering with the ability to coordinate a project engineering team. Must have string client skills and an understanding of project related financial issues. Report directly to the Chief Mechanical Discipline Engineer. Travel to job site may be required. Does not apply to E&I.

Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:
In addition to Level 1 and 2 has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Works independently with minimal
guidance. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May stabilize at this level for many years
Has expertise in own discipline. Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations
